February 17, 2017 - Monday, 2/20 is a holiday in observance of George Washington.

Café:  Kale soup will be served Mondays, Wednesdays, and FridaysFriday- Taco Bar-Fish or ground beef with w/g tortilla, Spanish rice, cheese, black and pinto beans.  Bean/cheese papusa w/cabbage salad and Pico de Gallo or hot/spicy chicken w/brown rice and w/g roll.  BBQ Grill specials:  Grilled chicken burger or grilled veggie burger or Louisiana Hot Link – all served with baked chips.  Served Daily: Vegetarian plate, hamburger/cheese burger, pizza, sandwiches and lavash wrap.  Come to the lunch lines, Window 3 from 7:30 AM – 7:55 AM for early breakfast and/or if you have questions about your account.

The Clark bike team is going to our first race of the season this weekend in Lake Perris, CA.  We race in the rain!  Today, if you know someone on the team or see one of the students wearing their team jersey or T-shirt, please wish them luck--and a break in the weather!  Happy trails!

The GCC - CSIS 267 (Introduction to Game Development) class at Glendale High on Saturdays – 11AM- 3:00PM. This class covers unity, coding and more. Please contact your counselor TODAY if interested in this class.  Students can bring paperwork (which is online and at their high school) to the first day of class.

Congratulations to Melanie Mesropian for the winning cover design for next year's daily planner Thanks to all who submitted awesome designs - it was a challenge to pick the winner.  Great Job…Way to go!

 

FINANCIAL AID FOR ALL SENIORS – You should have completed and submitted your FAFSA-Free Application Federal Student Aid.  Visit fafsa.gov TODAY to complete this process.  You will NOT be awarded any scholarship or college funds until this is completed and submitted.  Be sure to select 2017-18 for your college year.

GCC FIELD TRIP – ECAP – EARLY COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE PROGRAM for seniors who will be attending GCC after graduation.  You will be able to complete your English Placement Test, meet GCC counselors, tour the campus, meet current GCC students and be eligible for priority registration.  Space is limited – sign up with Mrs. Bondy TODAYYou will be required to attend an application workshop here at Clark on Wednesday, 2/22/17 during lunch and/or after your last class.  Field trip date is Thursday, March 2, 2017.

COLLEGE LEVEL REAL-WORLD PROGRAMMING PROBLEMS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE:  The annual Cal State LA Programming Challenge will offer high school and community college students an opportunity to solve college-level and real-world programming problems by applying the principles of computer science. We believe today's high school and college students have great potential, and we hope this experience will help them in their future studies of computer science and software engineering.
