Clark Mountain Bike Team is racing this weekend at Vail Lake in Temecula.  If you see one of them in their green Clark jersey or T-shirt, wish them luck!  Our first race of the season was two weeks ago and Sophomore Gillian Lowe made top ten in her first EVER race!  Great job – Way to Go! Clark is cheering on the team!

Scholastic Bowl:  Students, parents, and staff…make a note to attend the 2017 Scholastic Bowl Competition on Monday, March 6,  7:00 p.m. in the Glendale High Auditorium.  Come to cheer for our Clark Magnet team as they compete against CV, Hoover, and Glendale High Schools in the annual competition!

Coastal Marine Biolabs (CMB) cordially invites rising juniors and seniors to apply for participation in 2017 summer research institutes offered through the NeuroLab program, an education research project funded by a National Institutes of Health Science Education Partnership Award. Learn how scientists peer in to the nervous system and study the role of genes and gene products in establishing connectivity among neurons….more detailed program information and the application can be found on the NeuroLab website at:  www.NeuroLabSEPA.org (you will have to create a login account). Students are strongly encouraged to review the information contained on the NeuroLab website – and to discuss this opportunity with their parentsBEFORE initiating the online enrollment process Since enrollment is highly competitive, applications should be submitted well in advance of the start date of each institute.  CMB no longer accepts applications on a rolling basis.  The application deadline is just five weeks away, so interested students should apply immediately for consideration and NO LATER THAN April 1, 2017.    Decision notification: mid-May 2017.  STUDENTS WHO ARE ACCEPTED FOR ENROLLMENT RECEIVE A FULL TUITION WAIVER THAT COVERS THE COST OF MEALS AND LODGING.  OUT-OF-STATE STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TRAVEL COSTS TO AND FROM THE CMB LAB.
